Holiday: he was the one who came of first, had the first tooth, the first to roll over, sit, stand and walk. I think he is a natural athlete. He loves to play with balls, each and every kind. He started shooting hoops when he was 10 months old, he could hardly stand by himself and yet he was shooting basketballs.
At two years old, they received their first golf set. You'd see how excited he was to touch and swing that Taylormade wedge. He
would watch his dad and lolo Diony play in the backyard every afternoon. He would even watch ESPN to see Tiger Woods play. You would see him concentrating, as if he was absorbing everything that they're doing including the birdies and the bogeys.
Hunter: was the second to come out, he was confined at the Neonatal ICU for having a weak lung. He was the one that's so hard to put to sleep, first one to mumble, first to creep, crawl and talk. I'd say that he is more artistic. He loves to sing and dance along, learned to recognize numbers using playing cards as his tool, and memorized all of their Dora dvd collection.
This boy has the wildest imagination. He loves to tell stories, true or make believe. Quite a talker, I must say. He can almost get away with anything. He also loves to dismantle his toys and hopes he can put it back again like a mechanic. In less than an hour, he figured out how to open the lock that his lolo placed on the gate. He has a talent for manipulating things to his advantage. Even though his legs are shorter, he runs really fast and can kick a soccer ball really hard.
Some would say that it's not good to compare your kids with each other because it might fuel envy and competition. I think a little competition wouldn't hurt because this will motivate them to be better versions of themselves. They have opposing personalities yet you'll see much they are alike. It's confusing sometimes.
For now, I'm really glad that I was able to witness most, if not all of their firsts. That's a privilege not every mom can have.
